Subsea Engineer - MUX Controls

SWGR seeks to recruit an experienced Subsea Engineer for our client who is an international drilling contractor that owns s fleet of semi submersible drilling and accommodation units. Our client provides exploration, exploitation and oil recovery operations in offshore regions worldwide. The Subsea Engineer will take on a key role within the Maintenance department. And will be responsible for the efficient maintenance, monitoring and operation of the Subsea systems equipment, including MUX controls.All applicants must have a minimum 5 years experience with MUX controls, and some experience with severe subsea problems. Main duties will be: Maintain Subsea systems equipment ensuring operation goals are met for mechanical downtime, repair and maintenance Proper maintenance of equipment in accordance with the preventive maintenance program Timely repair Request, through superior, necessary supplies and parts to maintain adequate inventory Be completely knowledgeable of the company checklists and procedures Establish system for permanent documentation of work performed on equipment Record equipment condition on a daily basis Ensure that no welding is done on Subsea equipment Eliminate any waste and establish a cost conscious planning effort Review all operational and technical bulletins and implement directives as required Carry out tasks or projects Maintain a good working relationship with supervisor and other members of the rig crew Maintain the operational integrity all Subsea related equipment.Requirements: Degree Qualified Minimum 5 years experience with MUX controls Minimum 5 years Subsea field experience in oil and gas environment Minimum 6 years of related experience with Technical skills such as: calibration, hydraulics, pneumatics and comprehensive knowledge of oil and gas process equipment Ability to interpret hydraulic schematic drawings, troubleshoot faults remotely - without being at equipment Ability to communicate to other technical people in verbally and in writing The ability to analyse problems, identify solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals
